The Le Fermier range of herbs and spices are made with premium quality ingredients, and are a must for any foodie to have in their pantry.

Perfect for seasoning all kinds of meat, both red and white, including beef, chicken, other poultry, pork and fish, they are also delicious when added to roast vegetables, pastas and really any dish that you want to add a punch of flavour to!

Each spice blend is inspired by a region in France and the culinary speciality of that region.

 

BASAS

PERFECT FOR   Beef, red meats, mushroom risotto

HOW TO USE   Dry rub onto your beef cut of choice, and leave to rest for at least 5 minutes before cooking. Add to non-meat dishes as seasoning during cooking.

INSPIRATION   Bazas. This commune in the Gironde department in southwestern France is famous for its cattle of the same name. Bazas beef is highly regarded for its tenderness, flavour and is characterised by its marbling.

INGREDIENT/ ALLERGENS  Porcini, Merlot Salt, Garlic, Onion, Sage, Thyme, Smoked Salt

 

BASQUE

PERFECT FOR   Smoker and Barbecue meats such as steaks, ribs, brisket and pulled pork. Also a great addition to curries, chilli con carne and to sauces for an extra kick!

HOW TO USE   Rub onto meat to marinate (either dry or by mixing with a little good-quality olive oil) and leave to rest for at least 5 minutes before cooking. Add to non-meat dishes as seasoning during cooking.

INSPIRATION   The town of Espelette, famous for the pepper of the same name, is located in the Basque Country, an area found between France and Spain in the western Pyrenees. The flavour has become ubiquitous with the region, and is in fact somewhat mild. Le Fermier took inspiration from the region, and then turned up the dial on the heat!

INGREDIENT/ ALLERGENS  Carolina Reaper, Smoked Paprika, Garlic, Onion, Thyme, Brown Sugar, Red Gum Smoked Salt, Cumin, Rosemary, Ginger

PERFECT FOR barbecue, ribs and slow cooked meat.

We’re excited to announce our new FREE delivery service across Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula and Geelong for all orders above $169. And for orders less than this, there’s just a small delivery fee of $25. We’re excited to share our fresh Fleurieu goodness further and wider than ever before!

WHAT IF I’M NOT HOME WHEN MY BOX ARRIVES?

All our produce will arrive in insulated boxes, so if you’re not at home when it gets there, not a problem. The meat will remain safely chilled for a couple of hours until you return. Plus, our boxes are fully recyclable, so simply pop them in the recycle bin when you’re done!

We strongly believe in ethical farming practices, and always make sure our meat is fresh, flavoursome and GMO free, with no unnecessary interventions.

WE'RE LOCAL (& SUSTAINABLE!)

All of our beef, lamb and chicken is locally and sustainably sourced from the beautiful Fleurieu region of South Australia - plus, we make sure our farming practices are sustainable to ensure it stays that way.

WE RESPECT OUR ANIMALS

100% of our lamb is grass-fed and always enjoys a free-to-roam existence. Happy animals mean higher quality meat.

WE SUPPORT AUSSIES

Our pork is sourced from within Australia. Our smallgoods are always made in-house by our team of master butchers.

WE LOVE OUR CHOOKS

Our bran-raised, cage-free chickens are locally sourced from within South Australia and also have the RSPCA tick of approval.

WE CATER FOR ALL

Although we do stock pork products, our beef is Halal-certified before it arrives on our premises to us and does not come into contact with our other meats. The exception is our beef sausages, as they are prepared in a shared facility.
